I'm 17 nearly 18 and I'll be moving out of the my parents house in the next 8 months. So I entail a dependable car through college. I've had a prod for nearly 9 months but haven't been able to stockpile up too much money due to college visits and other unplanned spendings. I have 1000 dollars contained by my pocket right at this moment, but am willing to wait a few more months for a righteous car. I'm sick of mooching off my parents for a ride or if I can barrow their gas glutton 2005 GMC Safari,(Ive name her Bertha but am not attached). Im considering buying my car off of craigslist because i truly don't want to enjoy to worry about a coup¨¦ loan through college and would rather a dependable low millage (under 150k) toyota camry or corolla 93-95 or a Honda Civic or Accord 94-96. Should I take this route, and/or do you hold any suggestions for a car otherwise.
toyota...they last forever...I had a 79 toyota celica it be very fast and closing for yonks...it still had the same engine surrounded by it from that date it was built..I regret selling it.my partner has a toyota carolla n uses it for work he travells 2 hours a hours of daylight n car is in right nik he has had no problems...its a 1985 model
I look for a corolla. I have two (95 and 97) with 170K on them. Pretty reliable. I could buy a up to date car with bread, but choose to drive an inexpensive reliable car.
go next to the civic or try an acura integra. the engines last forever and they are very reliable. also, put together sure you get one with a verbs title. i hope that helps.
It's the better of the two to get your driving grip on.

Answers: Over the years, the public has set the Accord/Camry on a really elevated pedestal (not for any especially good reason), and so they cost alot more to buy used than they should. I would suggest a 1995-1996 Cutlass Ciera or a 1995-2000 Buick Century (which be the same as the Olds in '95 and '96).
Pros:
Very Reliable
Comfortable
Good gas mileage(I get 29 mpg on highway, with the AC on and going 85 mph)
Cost thousands less than Accord/Camry w/ same mileage and year
Safe
REALLY cheap insurance(mine's $400/yr, I am a 16 year infirm male)
Just about the easiest cars to work on, with the cheapest and easiest to find parts.
Cons
They aren't exciting. They aren't slow, but tons would find them boring
But I'm happy with mine. Great coup¨¦.
My advice as to where you can find such a coup¨¦: Craigslist.
And as they will always tell you, get hold of a mechanic you trust to look at it. That is the most important part of the adjectives process.
Good luck.
