Answers: Since no model is being mentioned. It's completely difficult to compare what is better than the other. Not all cars are created equal and adjectives will break down with age. There will other be some lemons regardless of who makes them.
In broad terms however, Honda /Acura would be a better buy due to the reality that they have a legally extensive record of reliability, resale convenience and efficiency. Their vehicle are built with standard materials and the fit and finish is great.
Ford's cars tend to be much better abroad than domestically. Reliability have been spotty, depending on model. They do patently excel in making trucks more than cars. The biddable news is that they are steadily shooting up. My biggest issues with Ford is their interior element and fit/finish. They have one of the cheapest interiors particular to mankind. They make it observable where they arranged to cut costs so they can keep up next to competition.
