I don't think there is any process you can manage it.

Has anybody ever used drive time?

Ok -- I see a couple of problems here.

First of all, you want to buy a vehicle, don't want your dad to find out, and don't have your license or your permit but. How do you plan on getting the car home after you buy it? You can't drive it home...

Second of all, a 17 year ripened is NOT old enough to enter into a reasonably binding contract, so buying a car by financing it is out of the question. You will hold to wait until you are 18 and have have a job for a while in charge to do that.

The only way that you will be capable of buy a car is if you buy it outright -- meaning you income for it in full when you purchase it. If you have plenty money to do that then you will be able to own it yourself -- you don't own to have anyone else on the title.

Next, is the insurance issue. If your dad doesn't want you to have a vehicle, I assume that he doesn't want you on his insurance or he won't put you on his insurance. You will have to get your own policy. Chances are the insurance company will want you to put money down on the policy contained by order to get it started, so be sure to budget your money for that. You MUST enjoy your driver's license (not permit) in order to achieve an insurance policy. If your dad won't let you on his policy while you have your voucher I don't know what you are going to do.

Lot's to think about -- I want you the best of luck.

If you were to buy a car contained by cash, you can not title the vehicle because you under the age of 18. You would want to have a person 21 or elder to go on the title with you. Once you turn 18, you can hold the title amended and their name removed.
Insuring and registering the car will be a together separate issue. Good luck and you can email me if you have questions.

go to craigslist and a bring back a '90 camry for less than $1,000. It would be reliable enough to catch you around. However, don't load all your friends up and drive around, inflict then you your just asking for motor repairs, not to mention wasting gas.
Good luck.
