I am planning on plus sizing my 14in tires to maybe 15in,16in, or 17in on my dodge stratus. I just dont enjoy a lot of knowledge roughly this, im not sure on what size i should go with and if the complex you go the worst mpg you get? Im not sure if thats sure or not, but i would newly like some feed vertebrae. thanks
shifting the rims/tires will throw off your speed and odometer gauges, but by of late a bit (negligeable really...).
When changing rims/tires, theres alot you have to look into.
1. Size. I hold a Protege5 and can fit anywehre from 15-18'' rims. Youll have to do you own homework and find that out
2. Tire size: Yes both width and distance from the ground. i run 205s and 7.5 width
3. Bolt pattern on rims. Its any 4 or 5 bolt pattern and either 4x100, 5x100, 5x114.3 (maybe other variation too).
THe easiest way to find wheels thatll fit your saloon is to search Craigslist.org for Rims coming off a Stratus.
Answers: Increasing the wheel size will get no difference, except for looks.
Increasing the outside diameter of the tire and the width of the tire will change your MPG.
The wider the tire, the worse the MPG.
