lb2500 to spend on a line motor, suggestions please?

Have lb2500 to spend on a family motor which I also need for work.
Majority of time will be used for short journey to the office (20 mile urban trip)
But also enjoy to travel from Southampton to Birmingham/Liverpool a couple of times a month.
Fuel is paid for by my company (can be any diesel or petrol) and servicing but i need to acquire a car for around that much which is suitable for use at weekend and should I hold work mates within the car.
Thought of a Renualt Laguna but would love some other suggestions
Thanks

What do you inevitability to buy cars...

Xsara Picasso, it doesn't get classed as 4x4 for duty and with a 1.6 l engine is nippy ample for motorway travel. It has lots of clever little ergonomic designs such as storage underneath the floor, it feels roomy while maintain a compact look. Had the best rating in Which sanctuary tests and is highly comfortable to drive. I've had one for a couple of years very soon and cost and reliability wise I cannot failing it, it's never given me a problem and I would buy another. I have two daughters 1 and 5 and they love the coupé too, the middle seat within the back , which is full size, tilts forward and turns into a table next to cup holders. This car have been adjectives over the country Scotland, Wales and The Lakes and not once have I wish for another car. You should grasp one on an x or w plate for your money and lb for lb the best family motor around in my assessment. Lo xxx

What.............?

Which coup¨¦ do you close to better?

Answers:    Wow that be weird, be reading your question and be thinking Renault Laguna, then you mention it!
Yes, you can't hit it. I have a 2004 Laguna 1.8 Expression, which I use for commuting from Manchester to Birmingham for work.
It's extremely comfortable, reliable, economical and pretty briskly too. Lagunas can now glibly be had inside your budget. Another major nouns is that it was the first sports car to get a 5/5 EuroNCAP sanctuary rating. Good piece of mind when you realise you're doing 110mph on the M6!

The only other motor that even comes close to the Laguna for your needs is the Citroen C5. Depreciation have hit this car knotty, so you'll make a positive over the Laguna, and it's unlikely to lose much more money. It's less advanced as the Laguna, and also doesn't carry out the 5 star safety rating; still a amazingly good 4 though. But, these comfortable cruisers come full with gadget and ride like a trickery carpet.

Overall though, I'd shift for the Laguna.

Good luck with your purchase, hope this help.
