Driving a stick is much easier today that 30 yrs ago. You can do anything if you set your mind to it. Try a friends car out if you hold concerns. Otherwise go for it. Hahaha... this reminds me of my husband... he bought a car that he couldn't drive. It be a stick shift and the thing sat contained by the yard for the longest, but finally after a few embarrassing moments stuck surrounded by traffic with a stalled car he widely read how to drive it. Even traded it in to get a 99 Ford Mustang GT ...not discouraging ; ) He even taught me how to drive, so you know it's not that hard. 1st gear is the hardest to swot up after that it's a piece of cake. Good luck!!
yeah, it is a lot easier today. If thats what you want go for it
Once you learn it is close to riding a bike. Yes the most difficult part is learning to stop and start on a mount without stalling out and rolling backwards. I have owned and driven both over the years and currently enjoy a standard but our next car will be an automatic. It is lately easier to not bother shifting in stop and go traffic. You payment less for a standard but you get smaller amount on a trade in also.

yea, they are more fun...its really not hard at adjectives just need to practice and after it will be similar to driving an automatic cuz ur hands will just switch gears in need u really thinkin about it. As for hills, u basically have to becareful when u stop on a hill and ur trying to move up the mound cuz the car will roll back when ur trying to put it within gear...just engage it next to the clutch-gas combo when it rolls back or better yet purely use the hand brakeOnce you learn it is close to riding a bike.
