Should I do trade-in or private event?

I own a 2003 BMW 325xi with just nearly 70,000 Miles on it. It is Silver with Black Leather. Kelley Blue Book says it is worth $13,695 Trade-In and $16,140 Private Party. I have had one previous accident contained by 2005. I live in Baltimore if that matters. It have been a good vehicle, I really just want a new one. Will this saloon have enough interest that it can vend fast privatly?

Which is the best suv to purchase?

most predictable you will not get 13K for it in trade KBB is other a optimistic value. dealer go by what they can buy the car for at Auction. if the cars are selling for 12K at marketer Auctions thats where what they will offer you. you might be capable of get more for your trade than what they are going for at auction but that is purely taken out of markup on the vehicle. and if those are the excellent condition values you will not get that for a car that have been in an disaster. most dealers will probably offer you the reasonable condition value (reputable dealers do not even maintain previous wrecks on the lot, my dealership wholesales all cars that have be in an accident) My best Guess is an offer of 11500 or so for trade within and as for private party again the accident hurts it. if you hold all the receipts form the repairs from the accident and upholding receipts and can show it was minor accident you might be capable of get 15K private party lacking records you are probably looking at the 14K aria.
if you have time, start out selling it private event because it will most likely take a while to supply but if you can't wait trade it

Put it up for sale privately first and see if you can market it yourself. You will get more. A dealer will with the sole purpose offer you a fraction of what it is actually worth. They integer they may have to put money into it and they also want to make a profit.

Actually the Kelley blue book is not a good indicator of real world prices. Ask at the pusher about trade, and then consider if you really want to turn through the problems of private sales.
