hi i bought a car and its taxed till finishing april 08.. but just noticed it say disabled on it? i am not disabled myself and wondering will dvla write to me when its due for renewal. so i can get a normal excise disc? i have sent off logbook 2 dvla today so it will be than registered within my name... thanks for adjectives replys..

If the previous owner be disabled, that will be deleted once ownership/registration is transfered to you.
Answers: You cannot drive the vehicle on the public road if it is taxed as disabled. You must submit the present tax disc to the DVLA and ask that the vehicle is tax as a private car. You should do this as soon as possible. You will have to reward the outstanding road tax for the period you be using it on the road whilst taxed as disabled.
