Look up the crash tryout ratings, resale value, and mpg of each vehicle you're interested within online (for the particular year of each vehicle). Then, factor contained by what you need it for and how many miles it have and if you think it would make it that far. Then if you still cant desire, figure out which one looks more appealing to you at first glance.
Anyone on here is pretty much purely going to have the basic Chevy/Ford bias. For example, I'd instinctively say the Chevy, since I've never owned anything but GM vehicles. Plus I cant stand Ford's styling. For a truck, it doesn't look rugged ample. But that's just my opinion. You can suppose what you want.
Oh...and I commend you for looking into buying vehicles made by USA-owned manufacturers.
It adjectives depends on YOUR likes and dislikes. Both have flawless reputations. They both suck...the Trailblazer is going to be dropped after this year, and the Explorer have crappy horsepower and is about 4 years out of date. Get a Toyota 4-Runner...it's better than both of these put together.
