About how heaps more miles per gallon will i go and get near a diesel compaired to gas?

Calculations= from previous post?

Answers:    you sure will get more mpg near diesel compared to gas if your buying a truck and plan on hauling a large loads its worth it.
Keep this contained by mind the diesel is more expensive when first buying one if you need one, if you don't involve the power the cost in the long run isnt really worth it.
Diesels similar to to be run hard and will do a moment ago that if you just running around town its really not worth it.
If you live within a cold climate and park outside the milage you gain you also loose in melt up time.
As for car they are designed economically and worth the money.
Keep this in mind also if they break its spendy to fix, they in general last far longer than gas engines if taken thoroughness of.

Usually 20-30 percent, looking at comparable cars. About half of i.e. due to there human being more energy within a gallon of diesel than a gallon of gasoline.

It can vary greatly, though, since diesel and gasoline engines usually AREN'T very comparable. Gasoline tend to have high power and lower torque, while diesel is the other way around. This largely means diesel will be at a greater power under sturdy loads, while gasoline will have ...very well, less of a disadvantage at complex speeds.

Some of the biggest efficiency gain from going with diesels are see in trucks, for this motivation.

Personally, if you're looking at getting a diesel car, close to a VW TDI, I think it would be worth it only to see people freak out when you plague your car up at diesel pumps.
