Does Anybody Have Tips for Driving on the Highway?

I am a high-school student learning to drive(already has temps), resourcefully I know how to drive, but I am also going to get my license in for a while over a month if things go ok. I just want to own some tips for driving on the interstate. I have driven in the city back, but I need to know what things to remember before going on the highway. I dont want to be too distressed before going on the highway, and chances are that I will be on the highway this weekend next to my Aunt. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Chances are that I just overlooking things, but I of late want to be sure about this.

What do those roadsigns penny-pinching when you...

i attempted to get my licence today and have a perfect score until i tap the baracade comming out from parellel parking. I've driven probally 800 miles on the interstate.
Dont be nervous.. I know what your thinking ...these people are going to run over me. Just come down the entrance ramp and endow with it a good bit of gas and get up to speed (in sc its 70) check over your shoulder and as you get hold of almost to the road signal left and people should move over for you. If they dont after just stay to the right slow down until its clear then move about. In our drivers ed books it says to stay to the right (the slow lane) and if your being blown by set your cruise at the average speed of everyone else and next decell -2 mph
dont slow down until you get ON the exit ramp after signaling and you'll be fine.
hope this helps
Slower traffic preserve right. If in the left and someone comes up on you move over and permit them pass when able. Staying near traffic is less stressful.

Would you commute 1.5 to 2 hours...

drive the right speed, check your blind spots (turn around shoulder not just mirror), form belt, watch for deer at night, Stay out of the ratification lane unless you have to, dont feel that you enjoy to fly like everyone else, my dad always told me look at the road ahead of you and dont verbs about other people that may distract you! Good Luck!

Bus riders - update me roughly speaking...

dont speed too much. but dont go below 50.
dont cross to the other lane unless you have your right or left blinker point on.
remember that the people in the front own the right of way, so dont worry more or less people in the subsidise trying to cross you[if your driving too slow].
PAY ATTENTION TO THE ROAD
WEAR YOUR SEAT BELT ALL THE tiME
STAY FOCUS
FOLLOW THE SPEED LIMITS
Don't speed, don't tailgate, and try not to be afraid! Driving on the highway for the first time can be rather scary. You a short time ago have to "go near the flow" of traffic. Make sure you look in your mirrors and over your shoulder when you merge and change lane. Maintain your speed, and look ahead so that you will be prepared if the traffic in front of you stops suddenly. Good luck!

Help what happend?

drive the speed boundary in the slow lane at first. dont focus on other things. dont try anything dumb

Oyster photocard?

Have you every be driving to some...

Answers:    Always use your turn signals when changing lane.
Keep plenty of distance between you and the cars ahead.
Check your rear view mirror for tailgaters - if someone is right higher than you, change lanes and agree to him/her get ahead.
A quick partial view over your shoulder should be done before changing lane, along with checking your side view mirror.
Do not drive beside a big truck for any length of time - they hold blind spots and may not see you - pass them quickly.
Drive defensively.

Good luck - don't be nervy - just be aware.

What is the speed mark out on...

Driving on the Highway is piece of cake. Driving within the city, thats the hard part, traffic lights, pedestrians, more traffic, you hold to be very alert especially during peak hours. Difference contained by driving on the highway is your speed. Yes, you will be traveling a little faster but on the other side there are no lights, no pedestrians to verbs about, this makes things profusely easier less hectic. Just as the other person said, check your blind spot, save to the right (or left depending where you are from) unless overtaking. Good luck.

How far do you commute?

make sure your insurance is salaried up and if you are in the wrong lane just sort the turn and turn around and get back on. don't do any crazy cuttin' populace crap. you'll get killed by a road rager.
