I am trying to set up a carpool with a fellow student. Since my family is down to one vehicle, I would close to to ride all the time. What would be a proper amount to offer the creature driving based on miles per gallon, cost of gas, etc? Is there a formula for this, or would a flat rate per mile be more appropriate?
It currently costs me roughly speaking $7.50 in gas every time I make the trip, but I don't know how to factor contained by other costs.
Thanks!
Give them the 7.50$ or ask what they want. It's better than paying gas and repairs on your own vehicle. I despised it when I car pooled and the loosers I rode with tried to cheap out when it be time to fill the tank. Remember it's their saloon be nice take your trash and give them money short them having to ask.
Answers: Maybe look for carpools that you pay for weeks worth gas at a time? trade off/ weeks, or figure your mileage typical gas consumptiom add $2.00 per day for grease and other stuff that should be right also get that in writing close to a contract..
your total per day shouldn't be more than your paying now keep hold of split equal at all times.. not more than a bus ride/ $5.00 per day!
