Again, the more you speed up and slow down the more fuel you use. If you have a cruise control, use it. Even the best driver can't do as all right as a cruise control. Don't speed. Your car get the best mileage at somewhere between 40 and 60 miles per hour. Make sure you have a tentative air filter once or twice a year. Make sure you own a decent fuel filter. If you can't remember ever shifting it, perhaps it's time. Try to plan trips so you don't hold to start and stop so much. Avoid rush hour stop and go traffic if you can. Leave rather earlier, there's usually smaller quantity traffic. Don't haul 200 pounds of crap contained by the trunk of your car. The smaller number weight you hold to accelerate, the better. No jackrabbit starts. Don't use anything but the minimum octane fuel your sports car needs. Anything more is a misuse of money. Leave a lot of space between you and the vehicle ahead, because the closer you are the more you're on and off the brake and the gas.
