Los Angeles drivers hold official long delay contained by rush hour travel. Why does the rest of the country hold to?

In the morning in the Los Angeles area in that is often fog in the hill the freeways were passed through. 30-50 miles inland there is still fog between the hill, and morning accidents and fog often close primary freeways throughout the region. In the evening, the back ups are two-three hours standard for all but the shortest commutes. Why should other places adopt/accept this type of situation near or without the geographic problems. I myself don't have an extra 4 hours respectively day, not to mention non-commute travel.

Will in that be fruitless traffic tomorrow...

They shouldn't. There's a reason nation flee the LA area for Arizona, Nevada, Washington and Oregon. And there's a reason natives of those states own so much venom for California, particularly the LA nouns.

If the rest of us wanted to put up with traffic approaching that, we'd live somewhere there's traffic like that.

Answers:    LA is trying to address this problem by expanding its rail system and on the increase rapid transit bus service, but there is too much doubt from special interests, so it is very difficult.
