I am going to be moving to Columbus from Honolulu sometime next summer. Honolulu have a great transportation system that can go practically anywhere (ferry and bus). My leading concern is that I will not have a saloon. So what options do I hold? Is there a bus system that travels on practically every road? Is in that a train/subway system? Also, how is the job bazaar? Any information that you may think I will find adjectives please feel free to tag on.
Thank you!

Answers: Sunspot, I lived in Columbus for 12 years. The bus system is COTA and serves much of the metro Columbus nouns well, especially downtown. Typical of a newer city, Columbus is spread out and in that will certainly be spots that aren't efficiently accessible by bus, but if you're careful in the order of picking your location, you should have no trouble managing. COTA is bus solely, no subway or light guiderail.
The job flea market isn't quite recovered from the recent downturn. Ohio have lost a number of job and is struggling to re-employ those displaced workers. There are certainly job to be had, but not knowing your chain of work, it's hard to right to be heard how that will impact you. There are several large companies headquartered surrounded by metro Columbus. Cardinal Health, The Limited, Wendy's, Worthington Industries, Lieberman, Huntington Bank, Nationwide Insurance are some of the area's largest employers.
This have affected the valid estate market as powerfully. Homes that sold in days are taking months. I've sold two homes contained by NW Columbus and both sold in smaller amount than 3 weeks. I currently have a condo on the flea market that's been for public sale for 6 months. I've lowered the price to less than I salaried and still can't get an present.
The Ohio State University is based within Columbus and is a highly regard university. It also employs greatly of people between the university and adjacent to hospital.
Weatherwise, Columbus will be a kick contained by the teeth for you. Winters are fairly cold, though they don't obtain a lot of snow. Most days don't gain below 25 degrees and within the summer, expect most days in the 80's to low 90's. Overcast days tend to be the norm, but it's the price you wages for having some of the richest soil contained by the US. There are plenty of days when it's just glorious, though, so don't consent to the weather be an issue.
Hope this info helps.
I live in Ohio nonetheless not in Columbus. I enjoy to say nearby are no subways, trains like in attendance is in area's we visit this summer like Pennsylvania. There are buses. In reality in Ohio public transportation really isn't that adjectives. At least surrounded by my area. You any have a vehicle or walk. We do hold taxi's but those are expensive. In my family alone we own 3 cars. In my nouns we do not even have buses.
I own lived in roomy area's like Cincinnati and immediately in West Central Ohio and can enunciate for certain public transportation is a touch used system. They have it but I know awfully few who use it. Most have cars. We are also good-for-nothing. I can see the McDonald's Restaurant from my back courtyard but will hop in my saloon to get nearby. LOL
Are you going to go to College here? The reality that Columbus is a large college town public transportation I would meditate it would have to be more available than other towns. Job Market? Try Monster.com and see what is available to you.
