Im so fed up with the rising prices everytime i progress and fill up at the petrol station. There has get to be something we the public can do, surely. Any ideas?

Will increasing mileage standards fall off fuel...

It's adjectives down to APATHY the politicians arent frightend of the people anymore if more people voted at see time we would have a bigger voice.
Well it goes something similar to this:-
Fuel continues to go up in price (Mainly due to the unfairer fuel duty imposed by the government).
Deliveries of food and stuff increase in cost.
Food prices increase in the stores.
People hold to pay more to travel in any the car or public transport.
Because these people own less money to spend and the things they want to buy have gone up surrounded by price, they buy less.
The lower the amount of things people buy the lower the margins supermarkets can gain away with.
In short the country heads full speed ahead into a recession.
Not that I am blaming the upcoming recession on fuel cost's solely, however it plays such a key part surrounded by economy of the UK that it has almost a disproportionate effect on it.
Ja.

Everyone - and I propose everyone - just needs to stop buying the stuff for a month. That'll brand name them take notice when they lose levy revenue and the oil companies lose profits.

It'll never happen though because race won't give up their cars for a month. Look at what happened during the later blockade - even those who said they were in show partiality towards of the blockade were in the queue for any petrol station rumoured to hold petrol, whatever the price.
Perhaps a genuine fuel strike, where on earth we don't buy petrol for a week. & I don't mean filling up the reservoir the week before, then using the saloon anyway. One where we WALK or TRAIN to work. This would certainly effect a HUGE loss in cash.

Simply stop buying petrol and go by public transport or win a bike, or walk. Then the petrol companies will be compelled to cut prices and you could drive again. But why drive better to use the transport, share a coffee at the station, discuss Gordon Clown with your fellow travellers. Be chirpy !
