We build cars capable of going 120+mph. Most state speed confines are no higher after 65 mph. WHY? If this Government wants to downsize are dependency on foreign oil. Limit the speeds to 55 mph on adjectives vehicles. It's simple and inexpensive, it will accumulate lives, reduce auto insurance, and develop the environment. When the autos are delivered to the contractor before he deliver them to the customer the service department will plug in a handheld computer to a tamper proof connector. The mechanic inputs a code and sets the speed to that states decrease. I have driven vehicle 10 years ago that have this system installed on them. I am presently driving vehicle that have like system.
your so childish for thinking everybody follows speed restriction.
we wouldnt save that much gas at adjectives. you waste more gas contained by city driving and stop-and-go traffic then you do on the highway cruising at 55mph+.
Also, if our cars be governed at 55mph that finances we'd be in the upmost gear and at the redline at 55mph and that would roast our engine and burn more gas then ever.
Answers: It's a legitimate press and a great idea. A lot of gasoline would be save, even at 65mph, but the oil companies don't want that, and the auto manufacturer don't want that, do they? Even if it could be done, the average American wouldn't go for it because as a full we're a nation of wasteful consumers and blatant scoff-laws. Many freeway speed precincts are 75 mph, but no, that's not fast plenty for a lot of society (idiots). Anywhere you drive, even in 25mph zone, at least partially the other drivers are going 20+ mph above the speed limit, and they're usually driving a SUV.
A bit stale the subject, but in response to one party above, when I get to be King, I'll affirm open season on adjectives you worthless bast**** who drive too fast. Then again, I won't enjoy to. Sooner or later you'll hold a blow-out at 85mph followed by a rollover and you'll be history. Score one for the road!
