Why is university parking so expensive?

Whats the difference surrounded by a road...

Answers:    Because they can. Most universities hold a hard time getting plenty land to use for parking. But it doesn't really business because if they keep the parking low they don't enjoy to pay for upkeep (keeping it clean, painted, snow removal, etc.) on the other hand they can charge more because people requirement it. And if they raise the prices satisfactory so that people can't afford a parking go past then they still enjoy a full parking lot.

If you think parking is doomed to failure you should check into international edition textbooks. American publishers charge elevated prices for books sold in the US but they know that other countries won't income those prices because their schools are cheaper. So instead the publishing companies put a different cover on the book and vend it overseas for a lot smaller quantity. In poorer countries they actually supply textbooks that are black and white copies of the sturdy bound books. I had a class this semester beside a hard put a bet on book that was $120. I bought the international variation out of Singapore for $25 plus $25 shipping. It is soft cover but the content is identical.
