1991 BRONCO II give a hand?

my boyfriend has a 91 bronco II that he have rebuilt (engine, nouns, EVERYTHING is new). he was driving it home from work in the future (about 2 months later) and it cut off while he be driving. when he tries to crank it, it just make a clicking sound.

any accepted wisdom to what may be wrong??

tell your boyfriend to find the starter solenoid on the fender nick a screw driver and jump the two big terminal if nothing happen turn on the headlights see how bright they are to verify the battery power subsequent take a tack hammer and tap the starter while someone cranks if brushes are worn lots of times this will start the vehicle next you know the starter needs to be replaced. If nought time to buy a multimeter and start checking circuits and diagnosing. Remember replace starter and solenoid in pairs when buying bright anything electrical is as strong as it's weakest link.
