The 2008 Raptor starts as a 250cc chain driven apparatus (under $4000!!) that is quicker than the others in it's class because the other 250 cc machines are adjectives shaft driven. I rode one the other day and it is the lightest 250 ever made! I also rode the Raptor 700R- ($7800) all I can say-so is it was "total bliss- I LOVED IT!!" Oh yeah, go to yamaha's chief site, click on sport atvs and watch the video on the 250 Raptor. It goes into detail. The 250 reminded me of my long lost (it be stolen lol) suzuki 250 quadracer. You can just play with and throw that 250 Raptor everywhere, it is an awesome mechanism. The 700 version of it? It is the Lamborghini of sport atvs lol.
