Best minivan out in attendance?

I am searching for the best minivan involving, safety, and SPACE, I own 3 kids (and 2 stepchildren, who don't live with us). Cargo room would also be helpful. I will be switching over from my 2006 Ford Explorer (which be totalled), which didn't have sufficient cargo room next to all 3 rows up. We ended up buying an 2007 Expedition (my husband's car) in the region of a year ago, but would like something thats better on gas.

Honda Odysseys and Toyota Siennas are rated the best surrounded by all major publications and on-line sources that I enjoy ever seen. Depending on the publication, they rate one or the other as number one. We agonized for months, and finally settled on the Honda, and it was solely because we liked the styling better. And only a bit better.

Answers: I would vote for Honda Odyssey first, Toyota Sienna a close second. Then probably Nissan Quest, and the Hyundai/Kias after that. The new Caravan is pretty cool but Chryslers aren't as reliable - although they presently have lifetime powertrain warranties, so you could consider a Dodge/Chrysler minivan too. Stay away from the GM minivans, they are an matured design and are not competitive with the others.

If you want/need all gearstick drive - Toyota does offer it on the Sienna.
