Does anyone know the rules for using tire chains and types in Az, Nv, and Utah? Can one type be used contained by all 3 states?
Answers: In Nevada, you will inevitability snow tires OR chains on most mountain roads during winter conditions. If the road conditions are such that chains are required for the truck, then you must also hold chains on at least one axle of the trailer. I expect that Utah has similar law. Don't know about Arizona, as I haven't be there during the winter for lots years.
I believe cable-type traction devices are acceptable, but not as dutiful for traction as regular chains.
We used them a lot surrounded by New Hampshire when I was growing up. I live contained by Arizona now and the own chain-up areas where, lower than certain weather conditions you must put on chains. I am retired and don't enjoy to travel in that so I don't enjoy any....yet. They do hold some steep curvy roads in Arizona next to out much width on the shoulders....Some I don't even approaching driving when the weather is summertime-perfect.
Here's a web site that will probably answer ur sound out some more.
