Tire size on my xterra?

I have an xterra (4x2) and currently enjoy 265/70/R 15. I need contemporary tires and was advise if I went next to 235/75/R15 I would get better gas mileage and own less road din among other things. Narrower Tire/ aspect ratio works out so that the height works out in a 10th on an inch. MUCH cheaper. You folks have any opinion or recommendation? We dont drive rotten road or through ice and snow (south texas) Thanks Walt

Looking for type of wankel rotary?

Answers:    I'd disagree next to Gio about drizzling road traction, better with a skinny tire.Use your hoard to purchase premium tires, ya can't beat Michelins for smooth ride & tread vivacity. =^ )

What would buoy you to consider buying...

Yes, the smaller the contact patch of the tire will result in greater gas mileage, but you sacrifice traction while acceleration, turning, and breaking surrounded by wet and dry weather.

It's pretty much up to you.. whether you want mileage or execution. In my opinion though, I would consider getting stock size or larger, but it adjectives depends on cost too.
