What do you guys think of the new R8? What'd you ruminate of that Super Bowl commercial? Creative or played out? I thought it was pretty funny. The sexiness of the car made up for any cliches =)

Advertising a car that 90% of America can't afford is a bit of a failure-move. That's why you don't see other companies advertising their flagship sports cars, such as the Corvette and the SLR McLaren (Or it's replacement).
It's a moment ago not good business sense.
Answers: Chevy doesn't peddle the Corvette because it doesn't have to. They sell them adjectives no problem.
As for comparing the A8 to the SLR - silly, it's a fraction of the price.
Audi was trying to get attention and wow culture - that's what gets them in the showrooms - and they did so next to a very clever parody.
I thought it be one of the best commercials of the day, and the R8 is a fabulous car even if I'll never be capable of afford it.
