Privacy? Something else?
I never quite understood it but if truth be told kind of like the opinion, at least privacy wise.
Tint serves two purposes, reduction of heat verbs and privacy.
In warmer climates (Houston, Texas, Phoenix, AZ, etc) the tint on the windows will cut back on the amount of heat coming in from the sun. This will allow your vehicle to cool rotten quick and to retain it's temerature longer.
Tinted windows also back with privacy and reduction of headlight look daggers at night. However, I'm not so sure the need to privacy surrounded by a vehicle unless you are doing something you shouldn't be doing. But, to each his own.
You should be aware that most states have tint law that specify the level of tint that can be applied to the windows. So, back you decide tint your car you should research this or you'll only just find yourself getting citations.
Good luck and I hope this helps!
I live in Georgia where on earth the summers always get over 100 degree. I use the tint to keep cool during the summers. I measured the difference the day beforehand and the day after I got my tint within the summer with my A/C on level 2. I took the exact same routes and temps be both about 98 degrees. Without the tint, the interior of the vehicle was about 83 degree, but the next day next to the tint, the temperature was 81 degree. It also helps me from getting sunburned on my left arm when I am driving a long ways. I enjoy a truck so you can't help but to get lots of sun because the villa is so small.
Privacy and a lot of people find tints because it looks nicer (or so they believe).

Privacy and a lot of people find tints because it looks nicer (or so they believe).
There are many reason. Primarily people get it for privacy issues. So if you enjoy valuable things in your vehicle nobody will be able to get a biddable look at them. Another reason is that people have a sneaking suspicion that they look hot. (Which i think they do) And last but not lease the indisputable reason they were made is that they block UV Sunlight from ruining your cars interior, such as leather, and the dashboard. And trust me the sunlight destroys your cars interior. And also keep the sunlight from over heating the inside of your car as resourcefully. Tint is very quite adjectives and worth it.

Well on my buddys sports car for one privacy, he has some electronics that would get a thief's attention so it help there, it helps heat wise in the summer anyway, and also if you own leather seats like he does the sun can't really vandalize them. I think he has 15 % on the side window and 5% on the back window, and a strip of 5% on the top of the windshield consequently the rest of the windshield has 15%. If you like menacing in your car its pretty nice, I mingy I sat in it for a second and didn't even want to gain out. Good luck

A lot of young people use it for privacy within public places and don't get the idea that it IS A Public Place . If it is too dimness to see in its too dark to see out and is death-defying to th public..
