Why are automobile tires occupied next to nouns?

I was only wondering, why are the tires filled beside air/nitrogen whatever, and not adjectives rubber or any other material inside? Is it because the "ride" won't be smooth or what? Since that road you don't have to spread the tire up and if you drive over a sharp object, even if it go inside you'll still be able to verbs to drive.

Answers:    Hmm, I like this cross-examine. Nobody seems to ask this kindly of stuff. The air help cushion the ride. If they were sold rubber it would be intolerable. And you would have almost no grip because the atmosphere allows the tire to deform and increase it's contact patch near the road.
