I'm looking for some feedback from people who enjoy the Powertrax No-slip Traction System installed in their trucks.
I have previously owned 4x4's for many years. My current truck however is an out-of-date 2wd with an stretch out differential, and even if I were to buy a newer model, 2 rudder drives are obviously much cheaper. I've be considering the Powertrax unit as a possible upgrade.
According to a brochure I not long picked up on the product, they claim that the device is "so powerful that it could make a 2 reins drive vehicle deliver more traction output than a conventional 4x4.". My question for Powertrax owners is only just how accurate is this statement? Could adding this one piece really support take the place of the 4x4's I once owned? I'm not chitchat about off-roading, race, or anything like that. I'm newly talking almost getting through the brutal winters and hellacious snowfalls in northeast ohio.
Answers: yes you will seize more traction but there is a cost,next to a rear locking diff the vehicle will tend to push more when turning at low speeds as ably as if you spin the wheels the backbone end will move about to the low side of the road,it may also be more prone to the back lapse tring to pass the front wrap up if you are too aggressive on intersection corners.once you get the be aware of of it you will love the extra traction.
