Me and my 6 year old daughter were within a low impact auto accident and at fault person's insurance is paying $200 to respectively of us for pain and suffering. Is that a fair amount? Our bones are not broken but minus exaggerating I feel the pain be considerable to settle for that amount. Am I right in thinking that way?

If you didnt treat.. clearly you arent THAT injured.. and this is ABSOLUTELY fair- dont expect anymore b/c this is charitable of them. This isnt the lottery.. your lucky your getting anything.

But come on... why on earth do people deduce they "deserve" money from accidents nowadays? This is such a downcast sad world. Sure, your neck hurt a touch... you think for every little "pain" in your enthusiasm you should get thousands of dollars? I think subsequent time i have to wait contained by line at the grocery store im gonna ask for some money for my pain..

Or, tell them "no way, we are going to sue you for abundantly more" they will probably up teir offer, because if they are willing to drop $200 short you asking, they know they are at fault and are trying to get you to shut up...

Answers: Unless you own doctor's bills where you got checked out by a chiropractor or something I'd inhibit in asking anything more than $500 per person. However, $200 does give the impression of being to be a bit low. I'd counter offer $750 and see if they offer put money on $500.
