At 18 my parents took me to get a coup¨¦ for myself, I paid aprox. $4500 dollars on the sports car that costed $10200, Dad paid the rest. I be the primary driver of the car for 2 years untill I approved that my parents were over controling and I moved out. I took the vehicle with me and my dad call me as I was driving and said he'd phone up the police if I didn't bring the car pay for because it is his name and he will report it stolen. So I took the saloon back and vanished.
I asked for the money I paid on it if they (parents) aren't going to consent to me have the vehicle and they refuse to consent to me have money for it.
Am I entitled to recieve the money I salaried on it or not, I am now 20 years outdated.
Answers: If the car be in your father's signature, he was the legally recognized owner of the vehicle! Unless you have a contract (or at tiniest something in writing that say that the car be a gift to you, you own no case.
I do not know what the issues be between you and your parents, but you are not going to be able force them to administer you the money you put out on the car! You drove the coup¨¦ for two years. You need to look at it as if you remunerated $2250 a year to drive the car!
Move on next to your life, and hope that at some point, you and your parents can work things out! Many times parents do not know when to consent to go, and mature children have to get their own mistakes!
Good luck
If you were to shift to court - they would say that your father compensated more for the car than you did - further you have two years use of it and when your father took it back it have depreciated for two years and since you had the use of it he would probably find the car. And if the motor was titled surrounded by your father's name he would be the legitimate owner of the car anyway. cut you loses and verbs. good luck
