Bike Accident - Compensation ?

A Motorist pulled out in front of me when i was riding to work on my motorbike and i fractured my scaphoid.

The lone way i can get reimbursed for my leathers and helmet is to thieve out a personnal injury claim against the driver.

Does anyone know or have experience of what sort of compensation you would expect to receive for this injury ?

Why do you call for a licence...

2 1/2 tims your medical costs is common, I have no hypothesis what you injured, so I can't begin to assume how much treatment you'll need to recuperate..or if your injury is permanant...
You can settle this yourself without an attorney and save yourself 1/3 of your settlement contained by costs...
Decline the first offer, they'll immediatly increase it say 500-1000 bucks, decline this and speak about them you were hoping to resolve this without going to an attorney or going to court. They will feasible call you back beside yet another offer... 2 1/2 ties your medical is your target...if you can do better great.
As for lost articles of clothing, that should be compensated for in property damage almost immediatly is my experience, even since everything is settled...

The cost of any required medical treatment that was the direct result of this accident.

Compensation for any days of work missed that be a direct result of this accident.

The cost of repairs to your motorbike, or if the repairs would be more than the fair marketplace value of your bike, the fair marketplace value.

*Perhaps* the depreciated cost of your leathers and helmet. Surely not replacement value.

*Perhaps* some token amount for headache and suffering. If someone tries to tell you there is a formula close to "3 times medical", they have no idea what they are chitchat about.

Each case is looked at, and settled, on its own merit.

Your best source of what is disinterested and average regarding settlement will be your own insurance agent. Ask him.
Well said Ting Tong. I know there's good and desperate drivers for all types of vehicles, but the broad standard of motorcycle riding in regard to their consideration to other road users I see is appalling.

When I be knocked off my bike I have legal expenses cover so my insurance company arranged the claim for me. Due to a minor injury I had to skulk a year (after an initial and final medical examination) for the money, but the solicitor was also a motorcyclist so was competent to view the offers made from my point of panorama. Amount of compensation depends on many factors, a solicitor is best placed to answer that examine.

The amount of compensation you should be compensated isn’t found in a crystal ball.

Rather, various simple factors such as the type of accident, related injuries, out-of-pocket expenses, medical costs and lost wages adjectives go into determining how much a claim is worth.

What amount an insurance company is willing to reimburse actually falls into a fairly peter out spectrum.
