Can Insurance constraint aged parts to be returned?

I was rear concluded on my motorcycle. The drivers insurance company demanding that the old parts be turned over to them. I've never heard of this earlier, they are my parts purchased by me. Does anyone know if this is legal? I'm not trying to pocket money but I would like to maintain some of the damaged plastic for spare since it's an older bike and is getting intricate to find parts for. Thanks!

How much do you take-home pay for...

They want them to seel for scrap or reconditioning so they can be put on the next poor slob who requests his bike fixed. The belong to them, just like your saloon or bike would if they "totaled" it.
Yes, it's a fairly common procedure.

yes, it is legal. They looked at adjectives the parts from my damaged Jeep back contained by 2000. As far as keeping them for spares, I wouldn't tell the insurance company that. They will say that if they are moral enough to keep as a spare, consequently they didn't need replaced. As far as you buying them, the insurance company bought the new parts (or will when it is adjectives settled).

Where do i stand beside my insurance...

If the insurance company pays out to repair the damage to your motorcycle then they properly own all the damaged parts which they settle to replace. They are in fact buying the parts bad you and replacing them with new ones. Since they own the undermined parts they replace you can't keep them as spares. This prevents insurance fraud by you purposely damaging your own motorcycle so that you build up a stock of dog-eared parts that you can sell as spares.

The same way that if your bike is written sour (total loss) they then own the wrecked bike.

The insurance company is paying to replace, so they are entitled to bring back the damaged parts back.
