Can i make available a driving instructor...

Technically you should have the disc today but the DVLA won't get stressed roughly speaking it until the end of the month, the reason one that no matter when you pay for it inwardly the month you still pay for the whole of February.

Insurance Agents: Bought a stolen motorcycle... back!?

Your new car charge disc should of put on display at 1 second past midnight this morning. Until you get a up to date tax disc you are liable for prosecution if the police catch you driving it.

Your friend is wrong.
There is NO 2 weeks "grace" length. Full Stop. This myth came about from the situation abundant years ago when local authorities were responsible for collecting road tax and seldom pursued anyone up to two weeks very old. There never was a grace period, it be just the way things happen.

Auto happenstance wrongfully acused.?

Answers:    The two weeks 'grace' is an urban myth, it doesn't exist and never have, it is however, highly unlikely that you would be prosecuted for not displaying a current VEL, provided you do tax it from the begining of the month you're contained by.

Does anyone know how long the vehicle...

You have two weeks in the past you get an automatic fine for not having renewed it or declared your coupé off-raod via the "SORN" system.
However, you do not have two weeks in which you can use your vehicle without risk. If your car is doing a tour (even if parked at the side of the road) without a valid tax disc you can be fined.
Also carry in mind that your insurance may not be valid if your car is not road-legal.

No you don't have a 2 week grace period. Plenty of DVLA clampers around,ANPR reader in police vehicles,DVLA roadside checks. DVLA know if your sports car has been tax or declared sorn. DVLA also have vans out with cameras that account number plates and check if the vehicle is taxed(similar to the ANPR system in police vehicles).

What to do more or less transfering...

I'm afraid that your friend is wrong - you need a new disk today so gain yourself round to the post office.

The DVLA will take an age to pick up on the reality that you haven't re-taxed your vehicle so you won't have much hassle from them. However, the first eagle-eyed copper who sees you will furnish you two hours to get a tax disk or your motor goes into the pound.
