I am from Germany, just get to the states in May 07...get my drivers license in july 07 and be in a saloon accident 4 days ago.(no insurance) I hit another sports car (rear) i couldn't stop it was too overdue. i drove about 7-10 mph the vehicle stopped and wanted to turn not here and i slowed down and thought they would turn but they stopped again. Will they take my drivers license?
I am lately really scared. I own no idea how that happen but when i realized that the coup¨¦ stopped again....it was too behind for me. :( i got a ticked from the police $25 fees and $110 for the court but the police said i don't enjoy to go to that court they said if i don't jump i have to pay packet the $110. Noone really got hurt, all right the woman said her neck hurts and she go to the hospital.i called her 2 times to see how shes doing...im merely really scared that she wishes a lot of money from me presently. I don't have anything....i don't know what to do :((((((
No Insurance!?
Well, she will sue you for the damages to her car, her medical bills, and for a while extra because she can.
The police will fine you, probably suspend your license, maybe even some lock away time depending your state and prior record.
Be prepared to folder for bankruptcy and bring a lawyer...you really should've have insurance.
Quit driving woth out insurance first of adjectives.
2nd of all she is a money hungry whore.
You will probably bring your license suspended.
Why, pray inform, don't you have insurance??
Damn.
You must not be in Ohio. In Ohio you must own liability coverage. If you don't have coverage and you receive in an coincidence (no matter who is at fault) your license is instantly suspended for 90 days, and you cannot be reinstated without have proof of insurance and an SR-22 bond, not to mention paying outstanding fines and judgements against you regarding the happenstance.
I'm surprised that the officer that cited you did not ask you for proof of insurance, because I thought every state had law mandating drivers to enjoy minimum liability coverage.
What will probably happen is that the personage you hit will turn their claim into their insurance company, and that person's insurance company will sue you in court to rest expenses related to the costs of what will be paid by them to the being you hit.
Be prepared, it is about to bring back ugly.
Edit:
North Carolina DOES enjoy insurance laws...
The N.C. General Assembly have enacted legislation to require some (but not all) driver license applicants surrounded by North Carolina to submit proof of automobile liability insurance coverage in proclaim to obtain a North Carolina driver license. Proof of liability insurance coverage applies to those:
Applying for an imaginative license, including transfers from out-of-state;
Whose licenses are mortal restored after revocation or suspension; or
Awarded a "Limited Driving Privilege" by the court.
Certification of liability insurance coverage must be submitted on DMV Form DL-123, or an original liability insurance policy, binder or an insurance card and must come from an insurance company licensed to do business within North Carolina:
These documents must show:
Applicant's name;
Effective date of policy;
Expiration date; and
Date the policy be issued
Form DL-123, binders and certificates are valid one and only for 30 days from the date of issuance. This does not apply to applicants who do not own currently registered motor vehicles and who do not operate nonfleet private passenger motor vehicle that are owned by other persons. In such cases it is required that a citations of exemption (DL-123A) be signed at the driver license office.
The exemption restricts the driver to the operation of "Fleet Vehicles Only". To remove the restriction the driver must income a $10.00 fee and submit DMV Form DL-123.
Since it's your husband's vehicle, contained by Ohio, he would be cited for letting an uninsured person drive his vehicle. Not sure in North Carolina, but it sure seem as if it's going to get misshapen for you, because you did not have insurance.
