I'm 18 years old, hold a clean driving account, and i drive a 2007 honda civic coupe. My name is insured on my parents honda pilot and lexus 350(suv). For some origin my insurance (for myself only not including famly) is around 6000. is this right? i'm below AAA and they said its going to be this expensive with any insurance company. I own 2 way coverage and and $250 deductable. Can someone autograph some other company that charges significantly less beside coverage and a deductable just as appropriate. Links and sources would be appreciated also
You are an 18 year old masculine, and you drive a two door almost brand new vehicle that has a history of claims! A lot of Civics are used as "tuner" cars and the drivers do own more claims than other models! You can shop around, but insurance in your label is going to be very costly! You may want to see if you can attach the Honda to your parent's policy!
First bad, get the ultimate deductible you can. that will help lower your bill a bit bit. Try Progressive.com. They can give you an instant quote.
If you really want lower insurance, go and get an older vehicle (about 10 years old) that's a 4 door and just grasp liability insurance on it. Even a new 4 door coup¨¦ will be cheaper to insure.
Your rates are going to be high until your going on for 25 years old and you go and get married.
Answers: I can give you some links for lower priced insurance but cut rate insurance companies enjoy a reputation for doing poor repairs and giving you the level of coverage you salaried for. You may want to consider staying on your parent insurance policy as they are getting discounts for multiple vehicles and most probable having their home owners insurance tied to the policy. On your own you are at the superlative risk and being charged extra for not have previous insurance. You should show proof of previous insurance through your parents policy to your insurance to get the rates lowered some.
