My previous vehicle was a 1.2L engine beside a market worth of around lb500 and cost me around lb25 per month to insure.
I have simply done a quote for a car near a 1.8L engine with a marketplace value of lb800 and the quote worked out around lb35 per month.
However, my up-to-the-minute quote also includes an extra claim on my insurance for theft of my previous sports car. I had no, no claims bonus, so I assumed that this would increase my premium, but does that come across correct? Only a lb10 rise per month with one extra claim and a 1.8L engine as unwilling a 1.2L?

If the strange car get crashed or stolen at the same rate it will cost more or less the same. 1.8 litres is not a complete lot, most base model cars at the moment come with something similar.
