Car insurance ask...?

...my friend woke up last dark to find the car subsequent to hers on fire. It be parked in a designated parking space - and so parked unlawfully. The car in flames caused substantial despoil to my friend's car. She have been told by her insurance company that she have to claim against her insurance, therefore losing her 8 years no claims, plus have to pay lb200 excess. Is in attendance anything legally she can do? We're within the UK.

Get lost !?

Answers:    Not a great deal - I devise that the 'not legally parked' argument is going nowhere, remarkably if the 'designated space' is part of a private parking allocation organism - there would hold been no actual canon broken. The only point that i can possibly suggest is that if she finds the fire was obviously started, she could claim losses against the arsonist. It's bad luck, but near you go....the world isn't tolerant!

Hi asking for suggestion, in the region...

She should pay herself for the vehicle doing, then she will hold her no claims. The money she spends on fixing her car will probably be smaller number than her insurance would go up for loosing her no claims.
