Car Inusrance Fraud?

Hi. I know this may sound crappy - but I am a newlywed and currently out of work. I pay almost $300 a month to insure a 1991 Buick surrounded by New York City. A cousin of mine told me to stop stressing and change my insurance address for a better rate. I did that. Is in that anything else I have to do?

Registration expires within 08/2008 - and this change allows me to gather over $100. I am an excelent 7 year driver with one calamity reported (I was not at fault). $300 a month is ridiculous to rate for a car I rewarded $600 for!! That is with a $500 deductible.

I didn't complain when I have a job, but very soon I can't justify $300 a month for a motor I drive 30 miles a month (because I train it everywhere). Anything else I have to do? Am I a crappy entity?

Answers:    Changing your address to save premium is insurance fraud, only so you know. The company can deny a claim due to this. So you can be out A LOT of money if you have an at glitch accident & enjoy to pay adjectives the damages & injuries. If you have a $500 deductible, that ability you have collision coverage which will one and only pay you $100 for your motor if you have an misfortune since you said yourself that you only remunerated $600 for the car. So, travel to your agent. Delete comprehensive and collision coverage from the car. Change your address hindmost to your real address. You should liberate a lot of money. Now, if you own an at fault coincidence, your company will pay the other driver up to your liability limitations for property damage & liability & you buy another vehicle for $600. You are out $600 instead of your $500 deductible.
Another thing to do is shop around. Start calling independent agents within your area. Ask who your friends use. Get quotes beside several insurance companies. This should help too.
