In Louisiana, you cannot collect damages from an at guiltiness party unless you prove that you have insurance at the time of the accident. What a concept... It have nothing to do near the fact that driving uninsured did not "end in the accident". Why should an irresponsible person benefit from the coverage that they themselves weren't considerate satisfactory to provide the rest of the driving public? It's not this way surrounded by every state, but it should be.

Her insurance doesn't cover you, it covers HER. It protects HER, with property plunder liability, if she damages your property.

Answers:    You can still formulate a claim against the other driver's insurance for the damage to your sports car. However, you will have to settle up for the no insurance ticket.

Not having insurance does not affect slate - if I took out a magic wand and presto change-o made you hold insurance - does the wreck still happen? yes. Therefore, not have insurance is not the cause of the catastrophe.

However, if you need a rental motor - most likely the at knock driver's insurance company will only reimburse the daily rate + export tax. They will not pay for a collision wreck waiver or any type of insurance for the rental vehicle.

Also - by choosing to operate a 2000lb motor vehicle on the roadway with out insurance - you put the entire public at risk. You get lucky. Had you been at failure for this accident, you would enjoy been instinctively responsible for the damages and injuries you caused. Go return with insurance and don't ever operate a car next to out a valid policy again!
