Collision/Auto repair & my rights surrounded by the state of Georgia?

Well not my rights, but my mother in law. She was driving and run off the road and blew out both right tires. It be late at dark and she was a few miles from a line members house so she drove the saloon to their house.

The next year she was competent to get two tires on the motor and drove it home but did say that the coup¨¦ pulled to the left a bit. She requests to take it to be looked at and she is covered by Progressive insurance.

Does she hold the right to bring it to the repair shop of her choice? (I think the ins co asked for 2 estimates, but will they purely pay for the substandard estimate of the 2?)

Does she need more than one estimate?(she drives a Lexus and requests to bring it there but the estimate is a few thousand more than the other no identify place. shes not sure she wants to come out of pocket for the difference. will she own to?)

What are her rights?

Insurance give somebody the third degree?

Answers:    If the insurance company will only foot the lower of two estimates, nothing say that she has to adopt the estimate from the no name place! She can pocket her car to another Lexus purveyor, and get a second estimate from them, and later the insurance will pay for the lower priced contractor to repair the car!

If near is that much of a difference in the estimates, I would bet the "no name" shop missed something!

Any motor insurance that doesn't concern who...

If the insurance company asked her for 2 estimates - after she needs to submit at lowest 2 estimates from the repair facilities of her choice. It's pretty standard for a company to ask for 2 estimates.

Progressive may know how to send an appraiser out to look at her vehicle if she is unable/unwilling to capture estimates. However, the appraiser will make vehicle that are not drivable a priority. So it may take a few days in the past one comes out - but it can be done.
