I am a resident of Florida but have be going to school contained by Chicago,IL for 2 months. I lost my driver liscense and need a untried one. My question is could I stir to the Chicago DMV and get a duplicate IL Driver licsence or walk all the process back to florida to win one.
Answers: If you're a Florida resident, you can only achieve a FL license from a DMV in Florida. If they won't communication it to you, you need to be in motion there.
You can also apply for an Illinois one (they will phone up FL and check to make sure your license is valid), but that may be see as a sign of IL residency.
I would just take one in Chicago and share them where you live contained by Chicago and bring your Birth of Certificate for proof. Tell them you lost your liscence in Chicago and you live here. Just get one in that and don't tell DMV anything else. They should impart you one, then when you walk back to Florida go and get a diplicate there of Florida. So you'll own two.
