Driver's Daily Log Book?

How far back should I pay for date my log book when driving out of state?

If you state on your insurance form...

Answers:    According to federal DOT regulations, you need to own today's log page, plus the last 7days (a total of 8days) beside you for a DOT officer to see when requested. It must be current to the last switch of duty status.

Every company has its policies on what type of log book to use, whether it is preprinted by the company, a blank purchased surrounded by a truck stop, or using computer software designed for log purposes. FMCSA regulations & some logbooks contain instructions on what is required to satisfy DOT regs. Companies hold to hold each log page for 6mo & you enjoy to keep your logbook preferable for 7-10yrs(for levy purposes). Contact your company's safety &/or logging departments if you own any further questions. Good luck!!
