Answers: chris w you don't automatically "get" your authorization in driver's ed! YOU have to complete 30 hours of classroom. Then you lug your completion certificate to a test site beside proper ID. Pass your written test have your eyes checked, lift a picture and fill out an application for your instruction permit. Then you practice driving. IN most states you want a minimum of 6 hours behind the wheel beside a certified DRIVER'S INSTRUCTOR.
When you turn 16 you come to see me a DRIVER'S EXAMINER. Pass my test and then step and apply for your provisional driver's license.
