Answers:    Your insurance company can deny a claim base on the fact you be committing a crime at the time. There is nothing within a driving ban that say you can't walk, or pilfer a bus, or ride a bike, or hitch hike, or roller blade, or skate board to work. So, if you are too inefficient to find another way, the company is ably within the tenet to tell you to come to work presently or come in never.

It would hold been nice if your ingenious question have specified the ban wasn't on you! If the roads are in fact closed, of course you can't drive to work unless you are surrounded by an essential service, such as police, fire, ambulance, and you can't likely be fired for not going surrounded by. I have never experienced a block on driving in 42 years. I hold encountered closed highway, travel not recommended conditions, etc, but never a blanket block for a city. I would suggest your insurance company MAY refuse coverage if you drive during a reasonably declared ban, but individual if there is an indignation associated with driving. If the refusal does not make it a chargeable fault, then the insurance cannot deny on the spring of an illegal work.
