I dont hold any insurance. i hit a car contained by park and he didnt even checked it because he said to busy and he need to travel to music award, so i give him my phone number. The motor i hit has minor cut into. i said to him i will pay for the injury. 2 days later, he call me and said that he just dance to the dealer and the car's repairment is $1200. I really confused make happen the car i hit is simply one or two scratch, but if i refuse to pay, i worried in the order of got fined, incarcerate and etc since i dont have insurance. i have need of some advice.
Answers: You broke the tenet and took a risk by driving without insurance. You hit another vehicle. You are not within a position to bargain next to anybody. Are you an experienced body repairman? No? Then you are not qualified to assess damages to a vehicle. Ask the person you hit to bring a couple of written estimates from body shops, don't just cart their word for it. Then pay them. If it be me you hit, I'd have call the police and you'd be dealing with them as very well.
Make a police report anyway to stay in the clear . It's better than individual charged with a hit & run subsequently .
