I am lookinf to Move over to Australia. I currently have cats A, B, B+E, C, C+E on here but when my girlfriend moved over here with similar cats on her australian licence she one and only got cat B on her british licence. Will this evolve to me and will I loose all the cats I own built up and will I have to retake adjectives my tests again?
Answers: license are state based and controlled, but trucking license have increasing federal legislation. forklift/plant/machinery license can be either, next to state policing. You will have to help yourself to some testing to prove proficiency, as driving conditions are hugely different, esp. long haul. You will own some use of any international licenses you hold, but once staying around for more than a few months, you'd hold to get a local license. fees come and go state to state, even city/country. fuel is abt $1.40/L ULP, abt $1.53/L diesel, abt $0.70/L LPG. city, and rising.
