Driving in need a License Plate? HELP!?

I'm a california resident and I bought a used car contained by North Carolina. I am planning on flying to North Carolina to drive the car across country. Because the sports car doesn't have a license plate, I go down to the CA DMV to register the car, but they solely gave me a conditional permit (red square piece of quality newspaper that I'm supposed to stick on the rear of my windshield).

With this piece of composition, am I okay to drive without a license plate on the rear of the car from the East coast to the West Coast?

I've already taken out an insurance policy on the motor, if that helps your answers.

Can i attain my license??

You might be able to find a guy contained by east L.A. Who sells licence plates to illegals. That should do 'til you catch your real one.

Am I entitled to the difference within...

Answers:    If the vehicle is legally registered , which it is, you can lawfully drive it with no problems!

I do not know what channel you are planning on traveling, but it you are going through Kansas, expect to be pulled over anytime you have out of state tag. Kansas is terrible roughly pulling over out of state drivers. They consider them a source of revenue!!
