Endorsements Expiry On UK License?

Hi! does anyone know if my penalty points have expired if they were issued surrounded by september 2004.

I know that currently it takes 4 years for minor offence (3 points) to expire, but i heard it used to be 3 years, is this true, if so does that indicate that my points have expired or does the current 4 year rule apply to me regardless of when the points be incurred?

Any help would be appreciated, i looked at the direct
.gov website but didnt find it much informative.

Motorcycle insurance give a hand?

Answers:    Points for minor offences (e.g. speeding, traffic lights, etc.) are on your licence and 'active' for 3 years. 'Active' scheme they count towards the totting-up procedure.

They stay on your licence, but 'inactive' for a further 12 months - a total of 4 years from the date of the offence. After that, you can payment to have the points removed - currently lb22.

You must claim the points to your insurer for 5 years from the date of the offence.

Will i receive my licence taken away?

The points on your license closing for 4yrs live and then you enjoy to wait a further year to hold them removed. It also costs you lb22 to have them removed. I enquire about mine a few weeks ago, as they are due to be removed this november.
