hit n run.....got the license plate...what can take place?
Hey i hope you own insurance and alot of time on your hands.
because my sister && i be hit IN THE STREET AT A RED LIGHT!
the police didnt do anything i even got the license plate.
but i live contained by texas.
and when i say we get hit i dont mean while we be in a vehicle, we were crossing the street and the motor backed up and hit us both yeah in attendance was witness's but they get away and the police were idle and didnt care since we be still alive.
they said we could sue and what not
but anyway point is it depends on your state laws and your city
but ussually nil happens.

you call the police, own them look at your damage, bear a picture, and attempt to press charges
depending what state and city you are in, most credible you are out of luck

Answers: You need to report the calamity to the police. They have a _duty_ to investigate the hit and run as it's an unfair act. If they don't, you beckon up someone higher on the food tie up. If they won't do anything, go better. Eventually you will get someone who think they have better things to do and will report the person below them to address your complaint.
If the PD does not give you the person's info, some states will after allow you to take the police report to your DMV and rerquest the identity of the creature. They can also give you the cross of the insurance company the person wrote down when they get their tages (might not be correct).
Lastly, you might also be able to submit the PR to your state and and request that the person's drivers license be suspended until they can prove your loss be settled.
