i am currently insured on my grandfathers insurance as a secondary driver because they give me their car when they compensated it off. all right now im selling that sports car and we are wondering how the insurance will work? will i just know how to switch it over to my new sports car though it will be in my entitle now instead of his? should i only put the name of the motor in my grandfathers christen to make things easier? or can it still be done near a reasonable increase on my coup¨¦ insurance? right now i settle up 500 every 6 months because of my good driving story and i get the student discount, how much more will it dance up if i have a saloon under my entitle?
Answers: if you put the title of the car within your name, you own to be a named insured on the policy, not of late a driver. the rates depend on if you are carrying just liability or full coverage and if you are still going to be scheduled as a secondary or primary driver. if the title go into your grandfathers name, you can purely call your agent and hold them switch out the cars.
Well, if it was rewarded off (old car) than it probably individual had liability. If you win a new one, you own to get full coverage which can be costly, depending on coup¨¦ and driving record. I believe you can still be a minor driver on the new saloon if your G-pa is primary and you should get a discount for have multiple vehicles (if he have any of his) on same policy. Student discount helps too....flawless luck
