Well, if you hit someone from at the back, it's you and your insurance that is responsible. If the other driver took off, it may be because he have no insurance or is driving on a suspended license.

Car insurance thats cheap for kids?

Answers:    Making up stories is not going to cut it. To total a car, a vehicle would own to be backing up at an extreme rate of speed-which is highly unlikely and to some extent suspect. Claiming that will throw your claim straight into your insurance company's Special Investigations Unit, one that reviews fraud. Should a claim wind up like this, it get entered into a national database of suspicious claims which will make you look close to a jerk for a really long time.

The guy took off running because if the cops showed up he be likely an illegal or have something illegal in his vehicle. This reality is actually separate and since you didn't get the info inconsequential.

If he didn't backbone up into you, and even if he did...you are 100% liable for this loss without proof. You failed to follow at a nontoxic distance/stop correctly and essentially struck a stationary object with ample force to total your own car.

Your insurance will issue a check for the actual cash worth of the vehicle (not bluebook), directly to your lender, less whatever your deductible is. You are going to owe your lender both the deductible and the difference unless you put a ample down payment on the car.

If the guy took off call the cops and articulate he hit you then left the sceen. He run for a reason.

Tomorrow i run my drivers testing?

So I am guessing the guy you hit was any in the country illegally, be drunk, didn't have insurance, or the car be stolen.

If you have full coverage, your insurance company will pay for your vehicle minus the deductible.
If you have liability only, you are out of luck.

Make sure you wallet a police report.

Car insurance negated??

Go to the police station and report this loss. The impair seems to exceed $1000. The other guy was plainly up to no good. As long as you have Collision Coverage, you are adjectives set. The insurance will pay for the damages less your deductible. Unfortunately, you are still at blemish, and you will likely be surcharged.

Do NOT make up stories as a few of the posters hold just advised you. That is insurance fraud!
